The Grass Is Never Greener On The Other Side!

Owning and running a new Internet marketing business is a fantastic way to live and take control of your life. However, as a new Internet marketer, or as with an Internet business, your primary role is to market your service and get your website seen by the masses.

As a result of this you need to be very aware of what it is like to be on the other side of your work and most likely you have been there as you browse the Internet. Most people on the Internet are bombarded with business opportunities and work from home schemes that can range from a $5 ebook promising to make you millions to a fully fledged Internet franchise operation costing tens of thousands of dollars in initial investment.

Here lies the problem. With so many offers abound, if you start reading their sales letter, no matter whether you need their product/service or not, you are quite likely to be tempted by some you come across. Now this is not necessarily a bad thing as you can learn from how great the sales letters are and pull them apart and use their techniques in your own marketing (most likely some emotional tug!).

But that is not what we are talking about here. We are talking about getting sidetracked and losing focus. Having just started a new business and you going about your marketing, it is very easy to start signing up for additional programs because the sales letters are so great. People also tend to have a fear mentality in that they think perhaps this program is better than the one that I am currently in, or perhaps I can earn more with them.

Before you know it, you have either bought another ebook, a piece of software, or even have ended up signing up for another business. Now rather than one Internet business, you are the proud owner of two! This may be great, however it requires twice the effort! Or if you are doing the same amount of work, then you are diluting your marketing and it’s only having half the effect than before because your efforts are being spread out.

That is the danger with Internet marketers, especially those new to it (established marketers still fall into this trap!). What you need is focus and discipline. If you have a system that you can follow and have the focus to follow through and not keep thinking that the grass is greener on the otherside, then you are way ahead of the game. You will be doing probably what 90% of the others don’t do and you will multiply you chances of success tenfold!
