Article Writing -Improve Your Author Resource Box

The Most Powerful Article Marketing Webinar Ever

Are you writing articles to generate leads for your business? If so you no doubt first have to do some research about your article. Then, to make sure it ranks on the search engines you must choose good keywords for your niche. After that you write your article, again remembering to put in the keywords that you have chosen. However, by the time you have done all that, are you forgetting to spend some time thinking about your author resource box, or signature box as it is sometimes called?

All article directories allow you to put in a signature box at the end of your article. Alot of authors choose to write themselves a bio. Unfortunately this is not the best use of your author resource box. Especially if you think why you wrote the article in the first place. You didn’t write it just for fun did you? The reason you wrote it was to get leads for your business. Therefore you must consider that this makes the author resource box highly important, because this is where you are going to lead your prospects to your sites.

Try these tips to improve your click through!

1 Try to make sure the reader does not notice that he is reading the author resource box, but feels he is still reading your article. Try to make it seamless, otherwise the reader may stop reading.

2 Remember you need to offer value to make people click on your links. Make them an offer they cannot refuse like free information. Try offering some ‘insider’ tips!

3 Give them the solution to a problem they might have. Whatever the article covers is probably the area that they are having problems with. Imagine how you would feel in their circumstances. What difficulties did you face? What did you need to know? Use the author resource box to give them that solution.

4 Dont make your box too long and ensure you give them a call to action. This means telling the reader what to do next. You do not have to tell them to ‘click the link’ but encourage them to find out more or to grab your free stuff.

Most article directories allow you at least two, and sometime three links. I generally feel that two is enough. It is not necessary to confuse the issue with lots of links. Generally I will have one leading to my home page, or blog and one to the page with their free information or offer.

Always track your results to find out what is working. If they do not work, try something else.
